Our client is looking to implement new technology, administration and maintenance solutions and therefore needs an experienced data engineer with a focus on identification, deployment, administration and maintenance of the technology best suited towards typical use cases.

Deine Aufgaben im Team

  • Understand the use cases and (together with the data science team) identify the best possible solution
  • Support in facilitating the transition of legacy solutions
  • Responsible for maintaining and (together with the DevOps team) deploying different databases across multiple machines, both cloud and on-premise
  • Define exchange points and formats for data; documentation of process and data flows
  • Willingness to iterate, adapt and improve frequently as well as train colleagues to do the necessary maintenace work

Unsere Erwartungen an Dich

  • You have some system administration experience and don't find the need to rely on fully managed cloud solutions
  • You have worked on a minimum of one large-scale data engineering project with lots of dependencies
  • You have experiences in using & maintaining a few common SQL/NoSQL databases and are able to weigh the pro's and con's of the solutions
  • You have experiences in streaming processing and have been involved in worflow orchestration (and have used the relevant tools for it)
  • Nice to have: Understanding of timeseries databases /OLTP/OLAP
